Skinnygirl Margarita California Recipe
In case you missed it, I’m celebrating World Cocktail Day all week long by featuring original Skinnygirl cocktail recipes from mixologist around the country. We kicked off the series with Kayla of Grosse Pointe, MI and her recipe for Skinnygirl St. Clair Sangria.
Up next I’d like to introduce Alex, a mixologist in North Hollywood, CA at Bow & Truss – a Latin Infused Restaurant and Craft Cocktail Bar. His recipe brings California flare to my Skinnygirl Sweet’arita by adding fresh avocados and cucumbers.
- 3 Slices of Fresh Cucumber
– 2 Slices of Fresh Avocado
– 2 oz Skinnygirl Sweet’arita
– 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
– ¾ Organic Agave Syrup
Directions: Muddle fresh cucumber and avocado together in a glass. Add 2 oz of Skinnygirl Sweet’arita, fresh lime juice and agave syrup to your shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain contents into a glass filled with ice and garnish with a slice of cucumber.
Mixologist Tip: Get creative with your rims! Give your drink extra flair by adding salt or sugar to your cup rims, especially when making margaritas. Alex topped his Skinnygirl Margarita California with the juice of an orange zest and salt.
