Talking Relationship Rules On Good Day Atlanta
In my new book, I Suck At Relationships So You Don’t Have To, I talk about 10 rules for not screwing up your happily ever after. Today I visited Good Day Atlanta and was able to talk a little bit more about these rules. We obviously couldn’t get through all of them but here are a few things to remember.
Understand The Man – Men love in a different way. They love deeply more rarely and are more simple in their needs. I think it is very important that we accept and appreciate the differences between men and women.
Control Yourself – Women have to control themselves in the way we react and present issues within a relationship. We are very emotional at times, and men can’t hear what we’re saying because of how we are saying it.
Trust Your Gut – We are always battling between our head and our heart and it’s really our gut that just knows. Don’t ignore the red flags in the beginning. Follow your gut in all situations.
Don’t Let Cracks Become Craters – We’ve all done it, we noticed problems in the relationship in the beginning but when you’re in love you are willing to overlook them and not really try to get to the core of things. It’s like a house, if you don’t have a good foundation, the house will fall. You want to take care of the issues early.
I’m looking forward to talking about these tips and hearing your stories more in detail tonight during the next stop on my book tour. I’ll be at The Atlanta History Center at 6:30 pm ET. Hope to see you all there!
