Quicker, Better Nails
In culinary school they told us that nail polish chemicals could get into the food, so for many years after that I rarely wore it. At first when I stopped using polish, my nails were dry and brittle. Before long, however, as I went without polish, they grew healthier and stronger. Now I get a manicure every few weeks, just to nourish and buff my nails so they’re shiny. Manicures are about keeping your nails neat. If you are on a budget, you can get away with a manicure every three to four weeks unless you use polish.
Truthfully, I’ve started getting polish once in awhile. However, once you put color on your nails, you’re going to have to redo them at least once a week. It’s like getting blow-outs. Once you decide to go that way, you have to keep going back if you want to maintain the look. Do you have time for weekly manicures and polish? You decide.
