I Suck At Relationships – Your Questions Answered! (Part III)
Welcome back! Over the past few weeks, I have been answering your dating and relationship questions. I’ve loved sharing all of our relationship wins and woes with one another and hope you have too! I chose to answer this week’s question because I felt a lot of us could relate to Carrie. For those of you who may be going through a nasty divorce or break up, you’ll definitely want to hear my answer.
If you haven’t already, head to Audible.com/Bethenny and download a FREE copy of I Suck At Relationships along with a free 30-day trial from Audible. I personally narrate the audiobook and I love the fact that I can listen to this version right from my phone.
In addition, I’ll be doing a live Q&A at on April 30th at 2:30pm EST on my Facebook page, so if there’s a question I wasn’t able to get to or one that I don’t answer in my book, you can ask me then!
This week, Carrie L. asked:
“I found through my bitter divorce that I am very cynical when it comes to dating now. Any advice on how to let go of the past to trust the relationship process again?”
Carrie, my advice to you is if you’re angry, stay home for a while until you heal because people can smell anger and negativity like blood in the water. Girls have a difficult time meeting people as it is and the ones who get the guy are not the hottest or most confident, they are the ones that are footloose and fancy free and look like they’re having a great time. Those are the women that men are attracted to so you have to find your smile and your happiness. As long as you’re looking at yourself and trying to get better, you will. You’re probably just not ready. Just don’t be bitter because there are a lot of great guys out there.
What are your thoughts? Do any of you have similar feelings as Carrie? What advice do you have for her? Let me know in the comments below!
