In the same way you can have food noise, you can also have exercise noise. You can have a love-hate, obsessive relationship with exercise, where you do it constantly or you don’t do it at all.
It’s like being on an eating binge or a crash diet. I used to obsess if I had to go somewhere on vacation or somewhere for work where they didn’t have a treadmill. I would get irritable about early meetings that would interfere with my workout schedule and think the whole day was ruined. Now, if four days go by without a workout, so be it. If four days go by and I can work out every day, that’s great too.
I’ve made peace with exercise. Even if I do something intense like a boot camp class, I make sure I’m breathing and not overdoing it, and if I feel like I’m pushing too hard, I take a break.
Just do what you can and be truthful to yourself. Let exercise be in your life.
