Bethenny’s Favorite New York Summer Activities
Summer has officially begun and I’m beyond ready to jump into everything the season has to offer. I absolutely love New York in the summer because there’s always something to do, no matter what your age or interests are. Below are a few things I can’t wait to experience this summer.
Hanging at the pool at the Soho House
Soho House gets it right every time. The accommodations are top of the line, and they have some of the friendliest staff in all of New York. They even bring a drink trolley room to room for complimentary afternoon cocktails. Talk about service! Lately I’ve been ordering their Eastern Standard cocktail which is made with Grey Goose, lime, cucumber, and mint. It’s incredibly refreshing.
Soho House’s amenities are only available to hotel guests and members, making it an amazing getaway for a staycation or if you’re visiting from out of town.

Summer in the Hamptons — Lunch at the Golden Pear
Golden Pear is my go-to when I’m spending time in the Hamptons. It’s a cute little cafe centrally located right in the midst of some great shopping. Intermix, Theory, and some super cute boutiques-all in walking distance.
I highly recommend the “The Westhampton Beach” sandwich. It’s made from Grilled All-Natural, Free-Range Chicken Breast with Jack Cheese, Balsamic Dressing, Lettuce & Tomato on Sourdough Rustic Bread. Golden Pear has an extensive food menu plus a nice variety of coffees and teas so you’re sure to find something you will love.

Going to Central Park
I love Central Park because it offers so many different activities for all ages. There are art and architecture tours, gondola rides, concerts, rollerskating… I could go on and on. Sometimes it’s even nice to just whip up a picnic basket full of sandwiches and your favorite Skinnygirl snacks for a relaxing lunch in the park.

Walk on the High Line
The High Line is so unique and definitely a gem for those who live in NYC. It is so beautiful, so fun, and so varied. You’re thirty feet above all the traffic and most of the noise, so you’re able to take in some pretty amazing city views in a new and more serene way than being on ground level with all of hustle and bustle of the city. How anyone can stroll the High Line and not fall in love with it is beyond me.

Brunch at Morandi
Morandi is a rustic Italian trattoria in West Village that offers delicious food and a warm vibe that almost feels like you’re in someone’s basement wine cellar. The bartenders take their craft very seriously and it shines through in their cocktails. Not to mention, their poached eggs over seasonal veggies are perfect.
