5 Ways to Improve Your Mood
With everything that life can throw at you, you may find yourself feeling down or irritable at one point or another. Rather than sitting around and letting a bad mood get the best of you, take action to improve your physical and mental state.
Here are some of my favorite ways to a turn a bad mood into my bitch:
Removing clutter from your home or office will also help declutter your mind. Once you’re finished, the feeling of accomplishment you get from maintaining a tidy space will make you feel better.
Take a bath
Fill your tub with warm water and treat yourself to a nice, long soak. The warm water will relax your mind, body, and soul. If you want, you can really set the mood by lighting candles and adding bath salts, essential oils, or bubbles. A glass of wine doesn’t hurt, either.
Read a book
Turn to a book when you’re looking to improve your mood. Depending on the book, it can leave you feeling inspired and motivated, or it can simply serve as a mental getaway from the real world.
Plan a trip
Plan that trip you’ve been wanting to go on. Visualizing your getaway will get you excited since you’ll have something to look forward to.
Go on a walk or visit the gym for a quick workout. When you get active, your body releases chemicals called endorphins that naturally boost your mood and helps alleviate feelings of stress or anxiety.
