Healthy Brown Rice Breakfast

I never understood why more people don’t eat rice for breakfast. Brown rice is full of nutrients, fiber, and energy that stays with you for hours. Try this easy recipe the next time you have brown rice left over from the night before.


– ½ cup cooked brown rice
– ¼ cup soymilk (or use rice or almond milk, or regular milk is fine too if you like it)
– 1 tbs dried cranberries or raisins
– 1 tsp sliced almonds
– 1 tbs maple syrup
– ½ tsp cinnamon

Serves 1


Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until warmed through, about five minutes.
