Cranberry Sauce

For an easy holiday meal, round out the turkey and stuffing with easy side dishes that come together in minutes. Here’s my go-to recipe for simple—yet delicious—cranberry sauce.


– 1 Bag Fresh or Frozen Cranberries (or ½ lb)
– 1 Cup of Water
– 1 Cup of Sugar
– ¼ TSP Ground Ginger
– ¼ TSP Cinnamon
– ¼ TSP Orange Peel


1. Cook 1 bag of fresh or frozen cranberries (½ pound) with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar over medium heat until the mixture bubbles and the cranberries pop.

2. Remove from the heat, stir in ¼ teaspoon each ground ginger, cinnamon, and orange peel, and refrigerate.

*** You could also spoon this homemade cranberry sauce over goat cheese with whole-grain crackers for an appetizer.
