Bethenny’s Bites: The Main Dish, Part 1

Contrary to popular belief, I don’t know it all – but I do know food. I’ve traveled around the country (and the world) just to get a good meal. I mean, I produce a show called Food Porn – and if that doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what does.

People often ask me for restaurant recommendations in NYC and beyond, so I’m sharing some of my favorites in a little something I like to call “Bethenny’s Bites.” This is only the best of the best – worth every mile, every penny, and every bite.

Now that we’ve covered Appetizers and Desserts, it’s time to turn to the Main Dish. Obviously there’s a whole world of entrees out there, so we’ve got a lot of ground to cover.

To kick things off, here are some classic meat options – from the greatest steak of your life to NYC’s best BBQ.

Steak | CUT (Beverly Hills, CA)

My go-to at this LA spot is the Tasting of New York Sirloin. I’m a true New Yorker at heart, but I’ve gotta admit that they know their shiz. You get classic New York steak and a more contemporary twist with American and Japanese Wagyu. Each one is beyond – glistening and savory with a good meat taste.

Hot Dog | Bonanza Stand

Bonanza has been around for over a century, so you know they’ve gotta be doing something right. They’re known for their Italian ice, but you can’t leave without trying the hot dogs. Load ‘em up with chili and cheese and enjoy.

Beef Brisket | Mable’s Smokehouse

Believe it or not, if you’re in the mood for good old-fashioned BBQ, Brooklyn is the way to go. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu at Mable’s, but the brisket is truly something else. Bring the kids and prepare to get messy.
