I don't watch T.V often, but as I flipped through the channel I came across the Bethenny Show. Right away she caught my attention by mentioning the make-up free episode. That immediately caught my attention. Reason being is I have a facebook group called "Barely Beautiful", where one of our goals is to wear make-up less often and embrace our Bare (natural) beauty. When I heard the guest would be thee Carmen Electra I was so excited. Carmen Electra embracing her bare beauty would do wonders for women all over. However, that excitement was soon replaced with disappointed as Carmen came strutting out wearing noticeable the make-up. I applaud her for going that bare, but for once I just wished that she embraced her bare beauty entirely. By doing so, she would have let other ladies know that she is not what the media portrays her to be i.e perfect, but an imperfect lady, just like us. Interestingly enough, during the episode, she stated “We have to love what’s different about us”. I couldn’t agree more!
Secondly, I was unable to see the end results of the women who had her nose contoured. Contouring is a new make-up fad, but in my opinion it perpetuating this pseudo confidence. For a moment when our faces are “painted” we are perfect, no flaws! But what happens when the contoured face washes off? Your “Flaws” resurface and you are back to the self-loathing attitude you began with.
LADIES IF YOU ARE READING THIS Join us on facebook by searching Barely Beautiful! Come be a part of a movement that is geared towards redefining beauty. It is time, we as ladies, lift one another up instead of tear one another down. God Bless.

Was it me, or did Carmen Electra seem like she was on something? She was not very engaging and looked off into space in a slow motion, unemotional world a bit if you ask me. What? Oh yeah, you didn't really ask. Anyhow, the no make-up thing was cute, but don't do that any more. Make up is here for our encouragement and to embellish our "happy." Boom!

That's such BS. Sorry Carmen, you totally have makeup on. I can see the powder on your forehead, cheeks, nose, and hairline very clearly through my huge HDTV! Shame on you! You have the looks many women would die for and you lie about how insecure you are without makeup on. This really irritated me.

NEXT TIME BETHENNY... HAVE SOME NEUTROGENA MAKEUP WIPES ON YOUR TABLE AND PROVE TO THE VIEWERS THAT YOU ALL HAVE ZERO MAKEUP ON!

I tuned in today because I was so wanting to see women being real without make up on. Maybe boost my own confidence up? I don't know, but if CARMEN ELECTRA wont do it, then... what the heck... just uncool. Awesome of you to do Bethenny, thank you for being real. That should be RE DONE with someone else who is inspiring. I used to like Carmen, now I don't. Maybe Jenny McCarthy would do it?

I think it is so great that you show your women viewers your true self on TV. Society has this image of what women should look like based on what women look like on TV and it is crushing self esteems. Carmen, however, was not makeup free. She was wearing foundation, eye liner and she filled her eyebrows in. I know you said she was wearing lip gloss and mascara but it was more than that. I have huge respect for you and your honesty. It really is appreciated.

I agree with you, Amanda and Carrie. Carmen Electra definitely has full make up on, only in neutral colours for deception. I would be offended as a host hosting a "make up free" show and the guest shows up with full make up on. I believe it's a sign of insecurity. If I am 41, I may feel insecure to go on national television without any make up, then again, I wouldn't agree to it if I am unable to deliver.

When Bethenny said Carmen looks like she's in her 20's, I totally agree...she looks like Lauren Conrad!

Way to go Bethanny for truly going Makeup Free!!
Carmen Elctra ruined the segment!! You should have given Carmen the boot from your show for not sticking to the Makeup Free deal. No way was that a "little bit of makeup," and even if it was, it defeats the purpose you were trying to accomplish by going makeup free.
