4 Signs It’s Time To Quit Your Job

Since you spend so much of your time at work, it makes sense to only be doing work that matters to you. Otherwise, you’re wasting time by not going after opportunities that could be better for you. Leaving a job is a tough decision, but if you feel like the work you’re doing isn’t benefiting you, it may be time to make a job switch.

Here are four signs that it might be time to move on:

You’re bored. If you’re constantly bored at work and waiting for the time to pass, it’s a sign that you have no interest in what you’re doing. Interesting work keeps you engaged. This is what you want in a job.

You aren’t being challenged. In order to be successful, you need to be in a position where you are constantly challenged. This helps you grow both professionally and personally. If you aren’t growing where you’re at, it’s time to move on. Don’t be complacent.

You don’t see yourself with the company in the future. If you imagine your future and your current job is not part of it, it may be time to rethink things. You want to be doing work in a place that is a meaningful part of your life. A place where you’ll want to move up the career ladder and become a leader.

You aren’t yourself. Of course you have to be a professional in the workplace, but if you’re struggling to be yourself in order to fit in with your coworkers or your boss, you may not be in the right environment. Faking who you are is extra work that you don’t need. Find a place where you can do your best work and can still be your authentic self. That’s when you can thrive.
