My Religious Garlic Bread Experience In Chicago
I’m lucky to be able to spend two full days in Chicago on my I Suck At Relationships Book Tour. It’s such an amazing place and in some ways, it reminds me of New York City, which is incredibly comforting.
After I got settled in, my first stop was at The Standard Club for a signing and luncheon. Gina and Elizabeth (who helped put on the event) were AMAZING. It was a wonderful experience and I’m so happy I got to be a part of it.
After a busy morning, we wanted to eat and needed to eat NOW. I can’t thank you guys enough for all of your great suggestions on where to eat out here (we still have a few meals in Chi-town!), but we decided to choose the first place saw- Pizza East. Oh my god… the garlic bread was orgasmic… maybe even better than sex. It was a religious experience. We also had the Tuscan kale and vegetable soup, baked Hen of the wood mushrooms, and arugula salad with the best toasted almonds I’ve ever had.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone tonight at Anderson’s Book Shop in Naperville, IL for the next stop on my #ISuckAtRelationships Book Tour. It should be a blast!
Oh and be sure to tune in this morning to WGN News at 10 AM CT and Bob Sirott and Marianne Murciano Radio Show at 2:00 PM CT- we will be live so you never know what will happen!
