Bethenny’s Favorite Finds: 5 Scents to Boost Your Confidence

Interacting with scents in your everyday life can help maintain your confidence and work wonders for your wellbeing. I love a good perfume as much as the next girl, but simple aromatherapy takes “use what you have” to the next level. These five scents will give you a boost in ways that a simple “yes you can” will not.

Chamomile: This is one of the best scents for getting back to a place of peace and relaxation. Chamomile calms the mind and is extremely helpful when you’re feeling restless. The holidays can be chaotic, so stashing a little bottle of chamomile pillow mist in your nightstand will come in handy.

Lemon: You probably don’t realize it, but most things that include a hint of lemon are great for sustaining your focus and have antibacterial properties. If you plan to invite a friend over to chat about an old flame, I’d suggest ditching the sugar rim and adding a little lemon zest to your favorite Skinnygirl Cocktail instead.

Peppermint: Peppermint can be considered an energy booster and stimulates clear thinking. When you need a little extra help with getting the day started, I’d suggest trying a peppermint hand cream right after you get out of the shower. Nothing is better than the feeling of refreshed, stress-free skin.

Rosemary: Rosemary has an earthy, bitter taste that is great for soups, sauces, and stuffing. When one of these recipes has light ingredients, adding rosemary can make or break your dish. Not only will the aroma improve your mood, but using just a small amount of it with the right recipe will turn you into a more seasoned cook (no pun intended). These rosemary spray-on herbs can be used in place of raw dried herbs – not my usual, but it’s organic, non-GMO, and child-friendly.

Cinnamon: I love cinnamon in just about everything. Pumpkin pie, coffee, scented soaps… The list goes on. If you’re on the go, adding a dash of cinnamon to your aroma can help fight a midday slump and boost your brain power. This soap smells amaze and can be used as a shampoo, shower gel, or bubble bath to leave your entire body feeling silky-smooth.

Have you used any of these scents to boost your confidence? Do you have a fave that’s not on the list? Let me know in the comments.
