Bethenny’s Favorite Finds: 5 Guilt-Free Desserts To Cure Your Sweet Tooth

I’m always craving something sweet and I never deprive myself when it comes to treats but it’s important to ask yourself – are you just in the habit of dessert, or are you really craving something sweet? I like to wait for a while after dinner before I decide whether I really want dessert. Sometimes it takes a while for you to feel really full from dinner. You have to stop eating for a few minutes to pay attention to your food voice.

If it turns out that you really do want dessert, keep the dessert small: a few sips of liquor, two bites of decadent dessert, or a small bowl of something a little more restrained, such as a low-fat ice cream, frozen yogurt or fruit. That should be enough to give you a feeling of participation and of self-indulgence, without losing control of your daily balance.

Skinnygirl Candy – I am obsessed with the new Skinnygirl Candy line. Skinnygirl Candy products are available in three different collections – Chocolates, Gummies, and Mints. We selected the highest quality ingredients and packaged them in portion controlled 100 calorie servings so you can indulge without the guilt.

Protein Power Muffins – If you follow my Twitter, you know I’m a Trader Joe’s fanatic.  Their Banana Chocolate Chip Protein Power Muffins are a quick and easy dessert packed with 7g of protein and only have two grams of fat in each two ounce mini muffin. They’re small and dense yet filling.

Liz Lovely Vegan Cookies  – I fell in love with these cookies after I saw Liz Lovely on SharkTank. I usually buy the pick two packs since they’re individually wrapped in pairs which helps with portion control. They’re crispy and delicious and low cal if you only eat 2.

Skinny Ice Cream – Did you know, you can make delicious, healthy ice cream at home using bananas and a blender? Get creative with the ingredients and make a big batch for when you need something sweet.

Vegan Divas Chocolate Mousse – This is a recipe I made for The Vegan Divas Cookbook by Fernanda Capobianco, who is also the owner of the Vegan Divas Bakery on the Upper East Side. This delish chocolate mousse is vegan AND gluten-free! It really hits the spot when you’re craving chocolate.
