It's a Skintervention! Dr. Sobel Shows Bethenny's Girls How to Get Great Skin

Truth be told, Bethenny's girls Jackie and Leslie are strippers: not the kind who dance out by the airport, but they scrub their problem skin until their acne flares up and the breakouts start all over again. Major mistake!

Meet Bethenny's awesome dermatologist Dr. Howard Sobel and watch him evaluate both Jackie’s and Leslie’s skin in the video below, plus hear his cheapie solutions that will help you save face and look gorgeous every day:

If you’re trying to help your skin out, you can use what you have and follow a few easy guidelines rather than buying drugstore potions that might not even work. Wasting money on that crap is insane.

Not stripping and exfoliating already-raw skin with rough pads (ouch) is the first step. Then, like Dr. Sobel told Leslie, shielding your skin from the sun is crucial. Exposing your skin to the sun’s rays — even though it might look better temporarily — is a no-no: That will result in even more breakouts.

Hello, I am a young 18 year old male, and I have been dealing with acne with close to four years now. I recently tuned into your show on September 26th, and listened to the girl and her mother speaking about their issues with acne. Ivrealozed I have many of the same issues they did heard how in 2 months time their problems were solved. I have acne blemishes left behind from past breakouts. I often times feel they are the main attraction when people make eye-to-eye contact with me and I'm sick of it! So with that being said is there any thing you or dr. Sobel would recommend to me to help with my problem? If so it would be greatly appreciated.

Found a great skincare line at Whole Foods. Acure. I'm obsessed. They also have a haircare line. Not too much press for them otherwise the price will go up and I will have to start all over with another brand I can afford!! :)

Hi Bethenny! I was just curious if you have ever tried Mary Kay Cosmetics? I have seen that you discuss beauty (products, procedures etc..) often. I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and I have seen and am a testimony to how great the products are. They are very affordable also! Just curious, Thanks :)

I have had acne since high school, and about 3 years ago I discovered an acne clinic where I live and this place has changed my life in such a postive way!! Your skins problems is a reflection of what you eat!!! Eliminate ALL dairy, soy and caffeine. I drink almond milk to substitute to my diary, I make sure I have lots of fiber in my diet so I am flushing out as much toxins as possible throughout the day. In the morning and at night after I wash my face I take an ice cube and rub it all over my face for two minutes, this helps calm down any inflamed pimples and it also prevents future breakouts...and IT WORKS!!! Your makeup plays a huge roll as well into your skin, just because it's "cool" to use big name brand make-up doesnt mean its good for your skin. Try Color Science or Alima Pure, very CLEAN and GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN make-up!!!
