How I Survive the Office Buffet

After I had a Lärabar for breakfast today, I was in meetings, and I ate a few more carbs than I normally do — all balanced out with greens. I had a salad, a few bites of pasta salad, and half a tuna sandwich on pumpernickel.

How I Survive the Office Buffet
Here are a couple of my favorite tips for eating a variety of foods, like those available at an office lunch or a buffet:

• If you’re eating pasta and bread, don't eat all the pasta, and lose half of the bread.

• Use vinaigrette instead of creamy dressings. It’s less fattening, and you use less because the creamy stuff is hard to spread in order to dress the whole salad.

Do you have a calorie-heavy recipe that you absolutely love — even though you know it’s not the best food for you? Tell me about it, and I’ll make it healthy on my talk show!
