Your Weekly Hunk: William Levy
What’s a workweek without a little man candy? Check out our new regular series featuring up-and-coming hotties you should get to know... before the rest of the female population does.
You’ve been on the edge of your couch watching this Cuban-born hottie shake his bon-bon on “Dancing with the Stars,” steaming up the screen in a slew of telenovelas, and romancing a sassy, anthropomorphic M&M in a delightfully lighthearted commercial. Oh, by the way, he was named People En Español’s Sexiest Man Alive last year, so you know he’s muy caliente. Now, he’s in a series of Pepsi NEXT ads, which include an online “Wheel of Levy” you can spin to see him play a sexy doctor, a sexy sci-fi star, a sexy rock star… you get the idea.
Quirky William facts:
We know about your past projects (oh, do we ever), so what's next for you?
I finished shooting two Lionsgate films: "Addicted," the forthcoming adaptation of a book written by best-selling author Zane out later this year, and "Tyler Perry's Single Mom's Club," due out in theaters next year.
What’s the best comment you’ve gotten about being on “Dancing with the Stars”?
“I didn’t know you can dance like that?!”
What’s something you wish people knew about you?
Hard question to answer because I’ve always been an open book… When I was younger, girls were the last thing on my mind — baseball was my focus. I have an uncle who taught me that a girlfriend would distract me from my priorities, but I always knew that one day I would be able to fall in love.
You've been in a ton of telenovelas. What's the biggest difference between performing for a Latin-American audience versus a US audience?
Not much difference — because it’s all entertainment!
What’s a piece of trivia about you that people might be surprised to know?
I love staying home and watching old movies with my kids. I love watching old James Bond movies and anything with a lot of action in it — and of course anything Disney for my kids.
Is there any rule or life philosophy you live by?
Live every day as it were your last.
What do you look for in a woman?
What I find most sexy about a woman is her personality and smile. A woman’s sense of humor, the way she carries herself — those are the most important qualities.
William, we think we might have exactly what you’re looking for...
