Thai is generally safer than Chinese. But as always, remember to go into your lunch or dinner with a plan. Use these healthy tips below:

Soups at a Thai restaurant are usually less caloric than those at Chinese restaurants. Although make sure you stay away from any curries or coconut milks. Get the Tom Yum Kai or some version of this healthy lemongrass soup.

Vegetable rolls wrapped in rice paper are just fine or have steamed dumplings.

Pad Thai is not your friend unless you just have a few bites and eat mostly the chicken or shrimp. Stay away from curries, coconut milk, or sweet and sour.

A sauted veggie and protein dish with lots of veggies is the right call. Ask for light sauce and oil even though they’ll probably ignore you.  Eat your veggies first and leave a lot on your plate.

No need for dessert.

Drink wine but never plum wine.
