
Q: I live alone & love recipes where the leftovers can "evolve" into something new. Any recommendations or tips?
A: This is the story of my life. This is what The Skinnygirl Dish is all about. Use what you have. Whatever vegetables and herbs you have lying around, turn into a creative salad. Leftover steak? Slice over greens with parmesan, lemon, olive oil, salt and pepper. Had hamburgers or turkey burgers at a BBQ? The next day, crumble, combine with tomato sauce and make a Bolognese over whole wheat pasta with parmesan. Open your eyes. Today’s leftovers are tomorrow’s culinary creations.
